Farming at MarahFarm
Marah Farms is located in a diverse landscape on the foot of the Kabala mountains. The property is 150 acres in size and we strive to effectively use all resources while seeking to maintain the correct balance between people, animals, farming and nature. We also have a natural river that flows through the property making it ideal for grazing and relaxing.
We believe that its important to have a holistic and natural approach to farming. This has inspired us to apply organic solutions to many of the common farming problems and pests.
Being on such a unique spot between the village and the mountain reserve also makes us responsible for looking after the wildlife and indigenous plants, the main crops we grow on the farm are crops we believe helps to preserve the forest
To this effect, we currently have 25,000 cocoa trees, 15,000 coffee trees, 10,000 cashew trees, 800 plantain trees, 100 banana trees, 20 mango trees, 20 Avocado trees and 20 guava trees.
